#RWISA UNIVERSITY FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)

FAQS

***

Q:  Is RWISA UNIVERSITY a “real” university?

A:  Not in the sense of an actual college where “students” attend for higher education and typical degrees.  RWISA UNIVERSITY is a branch of the RAVE WRITERS – INT’L SOCIETY OF AUTHORS {RWISA}, created to mentor authors on their writing journeys to becoming recognized as “the best” in the literary field;

Q:  When will RWISA UNIVERSITY begin accepting “students?”

A:  We are accepting applications now into RWISA UNIVERSITY although mentoring and the actual program won’t begin until Jan. 15, 2019;

Q:  What does a 3, 6, 9 or 12-month program entail?

A:  RWISA “students” may choose to enlist in the program for a period of no less than 6 months and not longer than 12 months. (The 3-month program is reserved for those students who we feel don’t need the program any longer than that).  Each period is the time the “student” will have access to the Mentors, their assistance, advice, critiques and other writing resources which will aid him/her on immensely improving their writing skills, and preparing them to be recognized as a RWISA Author if they complete the program successfully;

Q:  Once I have completed the program, will I still have to go thru the vetting process to become an actual RWISA member?

A:  No. Those “students” who successfully go thru and completes either the 6, 9 or 12-month RWISA UNIVERSITY program, will bypass the vetting process and will automatically be accepted into RWISA;

Q:  If I do not successfully complete the program, will my application fee be refunded?

A:  NO and here is why – since RWISA only accepts into RWISA UNIVERSITY’S 3 month program those “students” who we feel have the potential to become full RWISA members, we do not offer refunds once a “student” has gone thru the program, due to the fact that they have had access to the mentors, their assistance and other training materials such as the literary sessions.

If you enroll in either the 6, 9 or 12-month program and you fully commit to taking the advice offered by your Mentors, studying the literary sessions which you will have full access to (50 sessions or more) and wholeheartedly dedicating yourself to doing what it takes to become a RWISA member by ensuring that your writing across your platform is RWISA-ready, we feel that you will have no problem completing the program successfully.   If you feel strongly that you might not make it thru the program by improving within your chosen program time frame, we would suggest that you go thru the usual application process which would include the vetting process and a full refund of your fee, should you not be accepted;

Q:  With full knowledge that after I have gone thru a {3}, 6, 9 or 12-month program, that if I’m not accepted into RWISA I won’t be refunded, would I still be able to enroll in RWISA UNIVERSITY just for the mentoring assistance and feedback, literary sessions, etc.?

A:  Yes.  This stipulation would be in writing and the terms must be accepted by you before entering a program;

Q:  What do I have to do to successfully complete the program?

A:  At the end of your program, and after having had access to the RWISA Mentors and their guidance, we will look at the following:

-a “fresh”  writing sample which we will request at the appropriate time;
-we will follow your writing via blog posts. If you don’t have a blog, we will request writing samples at designated times;
-other items which are not listed here but will be included in your enrollment packet

Q:  Do I have to be a member of RAVE REVIEWS BOOK CLUB {RRBC} to enroll in RWISA UNIVERSITY?

A:  Yes.  Membership into RWISA is only open to the members of RRBC;
