{For those of you unfamiliar with our Annual RWISA CHRISTMAS TALE, this is a compilation of sentences provided by each author listed below, with characters from their books and the titles of their books linked to Amazon, strung together to create this crafty little tale.  We ask that you support each author by picking up a copy of their book}

christmas snowing

It’s that time of the year again when RWISA Island comes alive with Holiday décor, good cheer AND a good story. We invite you to sit back, sip your hot chocolate and let us share our story with you.

Creena stepped back, hands on hips to admire her decorating job. “I think you look fabulous,” she said.  Thyron shifted his branches, eyeing the ornaments weighing them down with disdain. “Must I remind you that I’m not a tree?” he grumbled. Marcha Fox rolled her eyes and sighed. “What a TERRA DEBACLE.”

Meanwhile, sidelined with a business call from her father, Jonathan, Christiana missed the enjoyment of watching Jennifer open her presents early Christmas morning. Following the testy telephone call, she returned to her holiday decorated living room to find her friend, Peggy Hattendorf, ex-husband, Michael, and their daughter sipping hot chocolate and giggling by the Christmas tree. Christiana realized, “I really am the SON OF MY FATHER.”

“Is everything set?” Ar’ch asked Angel, Rafe, and Yvette Calleiro.

Rafe grinned enthusiastically. “I’ve surrounded the lake with Christmas trees.

“And,” Angel chimed in, “I’ve frozen the lake and decorated the trees with snow. The weather is still a bit warm for it, but I”ll keep it frozen as long as I can.”

Ar’ch hugged his brothers. “Thanks, guys. Now let me check on Sofia.” He wanted to make sure he reached her before THE ONE AWAKENED.

“Poor little Maggie,” Jackson Durant said to Jan Sikes. “I wouldn’t have given TWO SHORTS AND A SNORT for her survival out in the snow. It’s pure luck I found her.”

Across the way, their TAILS glowed, as the silvertails frolicked in the snow. Kywah bounded toward Wendy Scott, wagging his brand-new tail. “Look what Santa gave me!”

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all thru the house, all you could hear stirring was this cute little mouse.  He was running through cabinets, OPEN and SHUT doors he did, when he noticed the book, SUGARCOATIN’ FOR CANDY, PACIFYIN’ FOR KIDS.  He picked up that book, by ole’ Nonnie St. Jules, when all of a sudden, he noticed that silence ruled.  This silence is deafening, the thought jumped in his head.  IF ONLY THERE WAS MUSICI’d go straight to bed. As he continued his journey, he heard the needle drop …AND THE MUSIC PLAYED, then came a loud pop.  He’d danced right into the trap, set for his capture. The reason for this story:  to evoke hearty laughter.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good ‘write.’
